About our meetings

AAUW/MD-Anne Arundel County Branch meets from September to May. Branch general meetings are traditionally held on the 2nd Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in October, March and April, at the site indicated.  In November, the annual Book Sale serves as an opportunity to meet informally while we work.  Group outings/tours are frequently scheduled during  January and February.  Luncheon meetings are scheduled in September (Welcome Meeting), December (Holiday Luncheon), and May (Annual Spring Luncheon).  In addition to these planned meetings, Cocktails & Conversations (C&C) socials are scheduled on short notice throughout the year. SNOW POLICY: When Anne Arundel County schools close early or are closed for the day, the AAUW/Anne Arundel County Branch general meeting will not be held. When Anne Arundel County Schools open late, the AAUW/Anne Arundel County Branch general meeting will be held.

September 14, 2024 (Saturday) Membership Meeting and Brunch; at Woods Church in Severna Park; 1130am-130pm

October 28, 2024 (Monday) – (4th instead of 2nd Monday this month) Brief business Meeting; Speaker Dr. Carol L. Mueller, Member of Harford County Board of Education and esteemed former AAUW MD State Board Member will present on her recent experiences in Education in very nearby Harford County; at Woods Church; 7-9pm

Book Sale (October 31-November 3)  See Book Collections and Sales link above for more info on book sale date/location.  Celebratory Cocktails & Conversations casual gathering to follow during November at time/date to be determined.

December 7, 2024 (Saturday)  Holiday Lunch at La Sierra; 10:30am-12:30pm; $35 and RSVP required.

January 13, 2025 (Monday)  Public Policy Update – Maryland Legislative Session discussion; at Woods Church; 7-9pm.

February 10, 2025  (Monday)  Presentation and Afternoon Tea in Annapolis; 3-5pm; $37 and RSVP required.

March 10, 2025 (Monday)  Business Meeting; Speaker Jeff Holland presentation of new book, a collection of his columns from The Capital (Gazette) about walking in parks around Anne Arundel County; at Woods Church; 7pm

April 14, 2025 (Monday)  Business Meeting; Speaker Kate Fritz, CEO, Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay; at Woods Church; 7pm

May 10, 2025 (Saturday)  Luncheon to present Scholarships and install new officers;  Location TBD; 11am – 2pm

June 2025 (Saturday TBD – tentative)  possible Branch picnic and transition board meeting
