About our meetings

AAUW/MD-Anne Arundel County Branch meets from September to May. Branch general meetings are traditionally held on the 2nd Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in October, March and April, at the site indicated.  In November, the annual Book Sale serves as an opportunity to meet informally while we work.  Group outings/tours are frequently scheduled during  January and February.  Luncheon meetings are scheduled in September (Welcome Meeting), December (Holiday Luncheon), and May (Annual Spring Luncheon).  In addition to these planned meetings, Cocktails & Conversations (C&C) socials are scheduled on short notice throughout the year. SNOW POLICY: When Anne Arundel County schools close early or are closed for the day, the AAUW/Anne Arundel County Branch general meeting will not be held. When Anne Arundel County Schools open late, the AAUW/Anne Arundel County Branch general meeting will be held.

The 2025-26 MEETINGS/PROGRAMS SCHEDULE

September 13, 2025 (Saturday) Membership Meeting and Potluck Brunch; at Woods Church in Severna Park; 1130am-130pm

October 18, 2025 (Saturday) – (instead of 2nd Monday) We are hosting the Fall AAUW Maryland state meeting; This will serve as our October Branch meeting; at Woods Church; All day (9am start)

Book Sale (October/Nov dates TBD)  See Book Collections and Sales link above for more info on book sale date/location.  Tentatively planned for second weekend in November.

December 6, 2025 (Saturday)  Holiday Breakfast at the Lighthouse Bistro; 9am-1030am at Lighthouse Bistro; advance reservation and payment required.

January 2026 (date TBD)  Public Policy Update – Maryland Legislative Session discussion; at Woods Church or zoom; evening.

February 2026 (date TBD) Lobby Day at the MD State Legislature. Followed by a restaurant lunch.

March 9, 2026 (Monday)  Business Meeting; at Woods Church; Speaker Rachel Robinson, VP for preservation, Historic Annapolis ; 7pm

April 11 or 18, 2026 (Saturday)  Field Trip to Glenstone, a private art collection.

May 16, 2026 (Saturday)  Luncheon to present Scholarships and install new officers;  Date and Location to be confirmed; 1130am – 130pm
