About our meetings
AAUW/MD-Anne Arundel County Branch meets from September to May. Branch general meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in October, February and Marcy, at the site indicated. In November (or late October), Members’ Night at the branch’s Book Sale serves as an informal meeting on the night before the book sale opens. Group outings/tours are frequently scheduled during January and February. Our Cocktails & Conversations (C&C) events are scheduled throughout the year. Luncheon meetings are scheduled in September (Membership Meeting), December (Holiday Luncheon), and May (Annual Spring Luncheon). See Upcoming Events for details.
SNOW POLICY: When Anne Arundel County schools close early or are closed for the day, the AAUW/Anne Arundel County Branch general meeting will not be held. When Anne Arundel County Schools open late, the AAUW/Anne Arundel County Branch general meeting will be held.

February 12, 2018 Membership Meeting; 7pm – 9pm; Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church; 611 Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd, Severna Park, MD. Program: Wesley Queen, Director of the Legacy Leadership Institute on Public Policy Programs at University of Maryland, will introduce us to the Legacy program. Erin Prangley, AAUW Maryland Vice President for Public Policy, will discuss the national and Maryland state bills being supported by AAUW and the strategies being used during this year’s legislative sessions.

April 9, 2018 Membership Meeting; 7pm – 9pm; Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church; 611 Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd, Severna Park, MD. Business Meeting: vote on annual budget and slate of officers for the coming year. Program: TBD.
May 5, 2018 Annual Spring luncheon, Saturday 11am – 2pm at Chartwell Country Club, 1 Chartwell Dr, Severna Park, MD. Business: installation of officers, presentation of scholarship recipients. Program: Our speakers will be Debbie Levy and Mary Hartnett, two of Justice Ruth Ginsburg’s authorized biographers. They will talk about the challenges and delights of writing about RBG.
